I’m Nikki Laycy, a Spiritual and Evidential Medium, and I have the privilege of demonstrating mediumship at Spiritualist churches and spiritual centres across South Wales and England.
For me, mediumship is about connection. It is an opportunity to bring forward evidence, memories and messages that may offer comfort and reassurance to those who have experienced the loss of someone they love.
When I stand on the platform in a Spiritualist church, I work naturally and intuitively, allowing the communication to unfold rather than trying to force or predict what will come through.
Every demonstration is different, because every person, every connection and every message is unique.
What Is Platform Mediumship?
Platform mediumship is a public demonstration of mediumship, usually held in a Spiritualist church, spiritual centre or at a mediumship event.
During a demonstration, I connect with Spirit and share the information I receive with members of the congregation or audience.
This may include details about a person’s character, personality, memories, relationships or circumstances that can help the recipient recognise who I believe I am communicating with.
Once a connection has been established, I may also receive a message or guidance for the recipient.
I believe that the purpose of platform mediumship isn’t simply to deliver a message. The evidence is an important part of the communication because it can help demonstrate that the connection has meaning for the person receiving it.
How I Work as an Evidential Medium
My approach to mediumship is compassionate, grounded and respectful.
I work as an evidential medium, which means I look for recognisable information within a communication rather than relying only on general statements.
Information can come to me in different ways. I may see images or symbols in my mind, sense emotions or physical characteristics, hear words or names intuitively, or simply have a strong sense of knowing.
Mediumship is not an exact science, and I never claim that every piece of information will be understood immediately. Sometimes something that appears insignificant during a reading makes sense later when the recipient speaks to another family member or remembers a particular event.
I also believe that a medium should never create fear or dependency. My aim is to provide a positive, respectful experience while allowing you to make your own decisions about your life.
Mediumship Demonstrations in South Wales
I regularly offer platform mediumship and mediumship demonstrations across South Wales, travelling to Spiritualist churches, spiritual centres and events to demonstrate my work.
Being part of a church demonstration is very different from having a private reading. There may be many people in the congregation and it isn’t possible for everyone attending to receive an individual message.
However, even when a message isn’t personally for you, attending a demonstration can be a fascinating and moving experience.
I am also happy to consider invitations from churches and organisations throughout Wales and England.

My mediumship work isn’t limited to South Wales. I also travel to Spiritualist churches and events throughout England when invited.
I enjoy meeting different congregations and working alongside churches and organisations that provide welcoming spaces for people interested in mediumship, spirituality and the continuation of life.

One-to-One Mediumship Readings with Nikki Laycy
Alongside my platform work, I offer private one-to-one mediumship readings for people who would prefer a more personal experience.
Unlike a public demonstration, a private reading gives us dedicated time together and allows the session to unfold specifically around the connections that come forward for you.
During your reading, I will explain how I work before we begin so that you know what to expect.
I don’t need you to provide me with a detailed history beforehand. I prefer to work with the information I receive and then ask you whether you can understand or recognise what I am being given.
In-Person Mediumship Readings
If you would prefer to meet face-to-face, I offer in-person mediumship readings in South Wales.
A private reading provides a quiet, relaxed environment where we can work together without the larger audience of a church or public demonstration.
Some people book a reading because they are grieving someone close to them. Others are simply curious about mediumship or feel that the time is right to experience a reading.
Whatever brings you to me, I aim to make the experience welcoming, comfortable and respectful.
Mediumship Readings via WhatsApp Video
You don’t have to live in South Wales to have a reading with me.
I also provide online mediumship readings via WhatsApp Video, allowing us to meet face-to-face virtually from your own home.
I work with mediumship in exactly the same way online as I do during an in-person session. Being physically in the same room isn’t necessary for me to work intuitively.
WhatsApp Video readings are particularly convenient if you live elsewhere in the UK or overseas, have mobility difficulties, or simply prefer having your reading in familiar surroundings.
Can a Medium Guarantee Who Will Communicate?
No, and I think it is important to be clear about this.
Although you may desperately hope to hear from one particular person, I cannot guarantee who will communicate during a reading or demonstration.
Mediumship should never involve making promises about who will come through or exactly what information will be received.
I allow each session to develop naturally and share the information that I receive as clearly as I can.
