Meet Nikki Laycy

I’m Nikki Laycy, the author of Out of the Shadows and Black Sheep Matters. More importantly, I’m someone who understands what it feels like to lose yourself while searching for acceptance, healing and hope. Like many people, my life has been shaped by both incredible challenges and extraordinary moments of growth. Those experiences have taught me that even in our darkest moments, there is always the possibility of a new beginning. Today, my greatest passion is helping others recognise their own strength and believe that they are worthy of happiness, love and a brighter future.

Writing Out of the Shadows

Writing has become one of the most meaningful ways I can connect with people. My books are inspired by real life, real emotions and the lessons that often come through adversity. Out of the Shadows shares a deeply personal journey from despair to self-acceptance, while Black Sheep Matters reminds readers that being different is not something to hide—it is often where our greatest gifts are found. Through honesty, humour and compassion, I hope every page encourages someone to believe in themselves just a little more than they did before.

Alongside my work as an author, I am a Spiritual Teacher, Reiki Master Teacher and Evidential Medium. For many years I have had the privilege of supporting people through their own journeys of healing, self-discovery and spiritual growth. Whether through my books, workshops, talks or one-to-one sessions, my aim has always remained the same: to offer encouragement, understanding and practical guidance that helps people move forward with confidence and hope.

My wish is that when you leave this page, you don’t simply remember my name, you remember how my words made you feel. If even one chapter helps someone realise they are enough, encourages them to keep going, or reminds them that they are never truly alone, then every word I have written has been worthwhile.
