For many people, completing Reiki Level 1 is the beginning of an incredible personal journey. It opens the door to self-healing, greater self-awareness and a deeper understanding of energy. But after spending time practising Reiki on yourself, family and friends, many students find themselves asking, “What’s next?”

The answer is Reiki Level 2.

Often known as the Practitioner’s Level, Reiki Level 2 takes your understanding and confidence to a completely new level. It strengthens your connection with Reiki energy, introduces powerful Reiki symbols and allows you to offer Reiki professionally if you choose to do so.

As a Reiki Master Teacher, one of the most rewarding parts of teaching Reiki Level 2 is seeing students realise just how much they have grown since beginning their Reiki journey. The confidence, trust and understanding they develop is truly inspiring.

What is Reiki Level 2?

Reiki Level 2 builds upon everything you learned during Reiki Level 1.

While Reiki Level 1 focuses on self-healing and learning the foundations of Reiki, Level 2 helps you deepen your practice and develop your skills further.

Many people describe Reiki Level 2 as a turning point. It isn’t simply about learning more techniques, it is about growing personally and spiritually while gaining the confidence to share Reiki with others on a deeper level.

What Will You Learn in Reiki Level 2

Every Reiki Master teaches slightly differently, but my Reiki Level 2 course is designed to give students both practical skills and a thorough understanding of the next stage of Reiki.

During the course, you’ll explore:

• The deeper philosophy of Reiki
• Strengthening your connection with Reiki energy
• The sacred Reiki symbols and how to use them respectfully
• How intention influences healing
• Sending Reiki across time and distance
• Emotional and mental healing techniques
• Professional treatment methods
• Working confidently with clients
• Developing your intuition
• Ethical practice and client care

The course combines learning with practical experience, giving students plenty of opportunities to ask questions and practise throughout the day.

Understanding the Reiki Symbols

One of the most exciting parts of Reiki Level 2 training is being introduced to the Reiki symbols.

These symbols are traditionally passed to students during their training and are regarded with respect. Rather than being magical in themselves, they help the practitioner focus intention and work with Reiki in different ways.

Students often tell me that learning the symbols brings a new depth to their Reiki practice and helps them feel even more connected to the healing energy.

Because the symbols form part of traditional Reiki teaching, they are only shared with students who attend Reiki Level 2 training.

Distance Healing Explained

One of the questions I’m asked most often is:

“How can Reiki work when someone isn’t in the same room?”

Distance Reiki can seem difficult to understand at first, but many students are fascinated by the concept.

During Reiki Level 2, you’ll learn how to send Reiki to someone who isn’t physically present, using focused intention alongside the Reiki symbols.

Many practitioners use distance Reiki to support family members, friends or clients who live elsewhere or are unable to attend in person.

Like all Reiki, it should be viewed as a complementary practice that supports wellbeing rather than replacing medical treatment.

Becoming a Reiki Practitioner

For many students, Reiki Level 2 is the stage where they begin offering Reiki treatments professionally.

Alongside developing your practical skills, we also discuss professionalism, client care, ethics and creating a safe, welcoming environment for those receiving Reiki.

Whether you dream of starting your own holistic business or simply want to feel more confident when treating others, Reiki Level 2 provides the knowledge and practical experience to help you move forward.

Your Reiki Level 2 Attunement

As with Reiki Level 1, students receive a Reiki attunement during the course.

Many people describe this as a deeply meaningful experience.

Some notice a stronger flow of energy through their hands, while others experience a profound sense of calm, clarity or emotional release.

Every experience is different, and there is no expectation that you should feel a particular way.

Reiki unfolds differently for every individual, and that’s part of its beauty.

Who is Reiki Level 2 Suitable For?

Reiki Level 2 is ideal for anyone who has already completed Reiki Level 1 and has spent time practising the techniques they learned.

Whether your goal is personal growth, supporting loved ones or working professionally as a Reiki practitioner, Level 2 allows you to continue developing with confidence.

Many of my students tell me they feel ready because Reiki has naturally become part of their everyday lives.

When the time feels right, Reiki Level 2 becomes the next exciting step.

My Approach to Teaching

Every student learns differently, so I believe Reiki training should never feel rushed or overwhelming.

I create a relaxed, supportive environment where questions are encouraged, practical experience is prioritised and everyone progresses at their own pace.

My aim is not simply to help students pass a course, but to ensure they leave feeling confident in their abilities and excited about continuing their Reiki journey.

Seeing students grow in confidence from Level 1 to Level 2 is one of the most rewarding aspects of my work as a Reiki Master Teacher.

To make Reiki training accessible for everyone, I offer a range of learning options through Age of Awakening.

Students can choose from:

• Private one-to-one Reiki Level 2 training for personalised tuition and individual support.
• Small local group Reiki courses, providing a friendly environment where students can learn and practise together.
• Live online Reiki Level 2 training, allowing you to complete your training from the comfort of your own home while still receiving live guidance and support.
